My journey into the world of gift baskets began in 2000 with a simple fruit basket tutorial from a friend. At the time, I worked in corporate marketing, when I came across a book on starting a gift basket business it planted a seed of inspiration. I began learning the craft, gathering supplies, joining professional communities, and attending classes and trade shows to refine my skills.

While I started with gourmet food baskets, a unique request changed my path. A church member needed a birthday gift for her husband—something non-traditional. Using a small suitcase as the base, I filled it with personalized items she requested, all of his favorite things. His reaction was unforgettable and sparked my passion for creating meaningful, tailored gifts.
